Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

We are open from 8 am-7 pm by appointment only. We respond to calls from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm M-F. Our medication management provider also provides Saturday appointments, please speak to your provider about their availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, you must cancel 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. You will be charged a $75 late cancellation fee if you have not notified our office of your cancellation 24 hours before the time of the appointment. You will be charged a $100 "no show" fee if no notification is received within the scheduled session time. If your appointment is scheduled for a Monday, please email or leave a voicemail over the weekend to confirm your cancellation. Please feel free to ask your therapist for clarity on the rationale of this policy.

What is the payment policy?

Copays, deductibles or self-pay payment will be automatically charged in full at some time after the service and requires a credit card to be placed on file prior to starting service with MMC. We will courtesy bill your insurance directly for each session. Clients are responsible for all charges incurred, whether or not insurance provides coverage.

What is an Insurance Super Bill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt outlining the therapeutic services you received. This is a written receipt that uses language and diagnostic codes that insurance companies recognize. If you want to utilize your out-of-network benefits, a superbill can be generated for you. You’ll submit this directly to your insurance agency. This will give them all the information they need to potentially reimburse your claim.*

Is there parking available?

Free parking is available on both sides of the building.

Is public transit available nearby?

Yes, the nearest public transit option is approximately 1.7 miles away from the office (East Creek, 2120 N Chestnut St North, Chaska, MN 55318). The office is also approximately 4.5 miles away from the closest Southwest Village station (Southwest Village P&R & Great Plains Blvd, Chanhassen, MN 55317).

Are there any specific issues that you do not treat?

Yes, therapists cannot ethically consider themselves experts in every area of concern. We consider it our professional and ethical responsibility to provide additional community therapeutic resources if MMC does not specialize in your primary area of concern.

How long will therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on your current needs. Every client's circumstances are different. We will discuss the frequency of visits that best fit your needs depending on your current concerns and personal goals. In general, we recommend beginning with regular visits during the information-gathering phase to build momentum followed by evaluating progress and adjusting as we go. Therapy is not over when every element of a client’s life is perfect. Rather therapy is complete when a client can say, "Despite the fact that I know challenging situations will come my way in the future, I now have the tools and confidence to conquer them."

Do you offer same-day sessions for new clients?

We are not an emergency or urgent care mental health clinic.  If you need immediate assistance, please call a crisis line, dial 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.  We can not guarantee any same-day appointments for new clients.

Please fill out a new client request form or call  763-249-5031.  Availability of initial appointments can fluctuate and depends on whether the individual clinician(s) have openings for new clients.
